Kathryn "Katie" was born and raised in Houston, Texas and loves the city and its surrounding communities. She has a great passion and love for the great state of Texas. She is high energy, organized and brings excitement to assisting each and every client through the home buying and selling process.

Katie is a proud graduate of Texas State University and has ten years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry as a purchasing and contracts manager that directly helps her navigate through the real estate market.

Katie is married and the mother of three children. She enjoys running, hunting, the beach, the outdoors, watching her kiddos play sports, and any time she can get with her friends and family. She is an ambassador for Texas Children's Hospital, serves as the Vice President for the Magnolia Education Foundation, is a PTO board member at her children's school and volunteers for many other foundations and activities within the community.

Katie's main focus is delivering good communication, lots of dedicated time and information to clients and developing good relationships to ensure the buying and selling process is smooth and successful for everyone involved. For more than 24 years, Katie Compian DeHaven has been a vital asset to the B/CS real estate community, and she has helped countless buyers and sellers make the most of their financial goals. Katie is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she earned a degree in Leadership and Development. For Katie, real estate isn't just a business or a career; it's personal. One of the highlights of Katie's career was earning the Chairman's Club Award for RE/MAX of Texas in 2021 and the Hall of Fame Award for RE/MAX of Texas in 2019. She has also earned the Platinum Club Award for RE/MAX of Texas from 2015-2020 and again in 2022. She has earned a spot in the Top 500 for RE/MAX of Texas from 2015-2022. Katie has a passion for giving back to the community in which she lives, and she puts her ample knowledge to work to serve others. She is a Texas Realtor Leadership Program graduate of 2016 and she has served for over 6 years on the Bryan / College Station Association of Realtors MLS Board of Directors. She was selected to serve for 5 years on the Grimes County Appraisal Review Board. She currently spends her spare time serving as Vice President for Voices for Children Brazos Valley, volunteering for Make-A-Wish Foundation, elected as the Secretary/Treasurer for the BCS Regional Association of Realtors MLS Board, and elected as Vice President of the Grimes County Health Resource Commission, and Secretary of the Iola Cemetery Association. She is very active in her church, volunteering as the Children's Church Director and has served several years as an advisory member of her church business committee. Katie is an active participant in Iola ISD District and Campus Improvement Committees. She enjoys politics and serves on the BCS Association of Realtors Governmental Affairs committee. She was chosen as one of the Texas Realtor Legislative contact liaisons for State Rep. Ben Lehman during his term.

Katie resides in Iola with her husband Michael and her daughter Zoe. In their spare time, they enjoy traveling, reading, and listening to podcasts, cooking, and trying new restaurants!
